Cooperkids: Touching Beginning of October

Sly: Boy October sure brings back some memories.
Carm: like what stealing candy from other kids.
Sly: haha very funny... Only from those who stole from other kids.
Carm: Sly, are you kidding me you did that as a kid?
Sly: like I said only from those who stole first. You know I only steal from other thieves. How you spend it as a kid?
Carm: Well... I first lived in America so rather naturally. Dressing up going door to door. I didnt get into some customs from heritage till I was fifteen and living in Spain for a couple years with some family. Learned more on its celebration to mourn those who pass. So I use Halloween to talk to my dad.
Sly: You talk to him?
Carm: Dont you know history or anything. Halloween is the day of the dead. Some places say its a day when spirits walk the earth and costume to scare them. In places like Spain or Mexico its a day we give to them.
Sly: give to the spirits?
Carm: *smack his arm* would you stop asking so many questions... Yes we give to them. Bet you havent shown your family any love. Sure they appreciate it out of you...
Sly: *ears back* Never thought about it... Usually too painful too remember.
Shuala: You'll enjoy it, dad. Grandpa and Grandma be really happy you join in this year.
Sly: *grabs her and hugs* You really been keeping out on me huh?
Shuala:  Grandpa Connor really misses you a lot, and very proud on everything you've done.
Sly: !!! *hugs her tighter nearly crying and smiles* You have no idea how proud I am of you too, Shuala.
Carm: *smiles walks off grabbing a picture on the table* Padre? Sure you're proud too right?
Alastar: Know I'd be if I was abuelo.
Carm: *giggles a bit, hugs and roughs him up a bit* You really know how to make someone feel better, that my little boy.
Al: *smiles and hugs back* Just hate see you upset. Still wonder how Gran-abuelo is doing.
Carm: Too well still. *smiles* He's visiting with your 2nd cousin Sven.
