After a few little reads here and there. Its not hard to say that, Kion is more a recreation of Kopa or in sense replacement most likely. Not a lot of people really know about Kopa. So slipping in Kion really shows no threat to the entire of the fandom except those still taking believe of Kopa is canon and older the Kiara.
Kopa and Kion are VERY similar. they look alike. have the same courageous personality. Also... they both have a friend cheetah. yep thats it.
A cheetah friend ties them together as the same. only difference the cheetah friends with Kopa is a boy named Beba. Compared to the female cheetah named Fuli, whos friends with Kion.

Some Updates
Undertale comic update: this week ill do best to remember and post the one page i have ready But for rest of February and March. Ill go full gear in making the backlog, the next post being in April. Unless the backlog reaches 5 the next page could be posted in March instead. I'm sorry it's taking so long its been rough two months. Being sick, appointments, anxiety struggles. Shop trips, insomnia. I do stream on twitch on Wednesdays. Feb 14th art stream for gamedev. And some sims4 after art. Im also in progress to start writing a book or webtoon which now taking up some my time. Scheduling to still also take care of myself with less stress possible cause i overwhelmed very easy. Actually a lot of people do know about Kopa. His fans are throwing a huge temper tantrum over Kion not being Kopa. Plus, I don't see how Kion is Kopa. Both characters are vastly different. Also, having cheetah friends really doesn't make a similarity. Simba also had a cheetah friend named Speedy or Plusvite according to his over seas origin.
